Abstract
This work analyses the presence of atonal music in the undergraduate studies in the conservatoires of Basque Country and Navarre. So, respective curricular documents have been observed and opinions from the teaching staff have been collected by semistructured interviews. Therefore, it can be perceived a rupture between theory and curricular pratice as well as several causes that hinder the performance of atonal music in specialized educational classrooms.
