Zusammenfassung

Given the need to visually reproduce documentary supports from the 15th to the 18th century for their recovery, preservation, investigation and public consultation, it is necessary to combine the needs and techniques of Bibliographical Science, Graphic Design and the possibilities associated to the new digital graphic technologies. The application of new graphic production and reproduction computer technologies must be based on the pertinent criterion, sensitivity and responsibility, guaranteeing the optical and expressive quality of the word’s image.
