Zusammenfassung
This article examines the application of the environmental assessment procedure to wind mills. Renewable energies have received preferential treatment in the last decades owing to their contribution to the fight against climate change. Nevertheless, those installations are not devoid of environmental effects on other elements that deserve protection. Hence, this article analyses the balance of interests carried out by the judiciary, the requirements of the assessment procedure and the effects on Natura 2000.
