Abstract

Titanium (pure and titanium aleation) is the most used material in oral rehabilitation technics with implants because of its excellent surface characteristics that guarantee a correct osseointegration and a successful treatment. Titanium used in implants, as well as natural teeth, is in contact with oral enviroment and therefore is also affected in a similar way by dental plaque and bacterian substratum This dental plaque must be removed, and this can be done with several methods obtaining different results (metallic instruments are the less indicated).
