Abstract

From 1985 till now (1990), a great number of stone materials (choppers, chopping-tools, nuclei centripetal and Levallois bifacial stones and other flake) have been gathered around certain places on the banks of the Urrunaga reservoir (Alava-Spain). The predominant raw materials with the excepción of a bifacial flint are mineralized limestone, very rich in ferric elements. Even if the lack of stratigraphic registers highly conditions its assessment or valuation as a whole, the analysis of the morphotechnical artefacts, would define it, culturally, in the context of the late Lower Palaeolithic (Upper Acheulean).
