Résumé
The effect of two surgical procedures intended to correct the astigmatism are studied, taking into account both the net change and the vector corrected change. The net decrease in astigmatism was 4,75 D for the wedge resection and 2,90 D for the relaxing incision. In the vectorial study it was found in relation to the ideal cylinder, a difference of -2,31 D and 31,310 for the wedge resection and + D 0,85 D and 450 for the relaxing incision. From this study we conclude that the effect of the surgery decreases because the traction or the relaxation is not exactly applied on the axis of the astigmatismo
